FVC Makes Club Volleyball More Convenient & Affordable to Athletes!

2017-2018 Altitude Volleyball Program

News Corner:

After only two years in operation Fundamental Volleyball Club has gained national attention, securing an amazing championship win in Orlando, Florida, at the 2017 AAU Volleyball Classic 18 Open, ranking 2nd in the Gold Bracket of the MLK Kick Off Classic, American Division, and ranking 3rd out of 61 teams at the Capitol Hill Classic American Division.

Club Director and Former Division I Volleyball Coach, Max Auguste accentuates his determined position to continue to provide a successful  development model, bringing Long Island athletes up to date with the leading-edge national level training that optimizes player potential for CYO, JV, Varsity and collegiate level competition.

In his efforts to maximize the elite coaching expertise of his staff coupled with helping meet the hurdles that many athletes are faced with regarding joining club programs, Max has decided to use some of the club’s resources to help all interested players close this unaffordability gap. The challenges that he has witnessed with potential players include:

  • Cost of Club Season Tuition
  • Athletes Play Multiple Sports at School
  • Other understandable inconveniences

In an effort to subdue these challenges for the upcoming season,  FVC established the Altitude Volleyball Program (AVP), which is a low cost, payment policy adjusted, fundraiser driven (if needed) initiative. In addition FVC has also put in place some of its own funded programs, designed to raise sufficient funds to help all interested athletes cover their club tuition cost.

AVP Program Summary

The Altitude Volleyball Program is designed for athletes ages 12-17 who desire to learn the leading-edge fundamentals of the game in order to make their school teams, club travel teams (overnight travel) and eventually compete at the collegiate level.

The AVP program is a great start for athletes who enjoy competition, productive outcome oriented training, in a stress-free environment. Additionally, we aim to promote various social skills and expectations associated with being part of a team. These include:

  • Develop positive relationships
  • Build confidence
  • Place winning into perspective
  • Encourage family involvement
  • Contribute positively to academic performance

FVC consist of an elite coaching staff with a myriad of amazing coaching and playing experience. Many are collegiate and former national team level players, who devoted much of their time to collegiate coaching at the Division I and II levels primarily.

Cost of AVP Program

The total cost of this program is $1495. Players are permitted to pay $495 at commitment night to cover the up-front cost associated with each team. These include, uniforms, tournaments fees, affiliation fees, a portion of the coaches compensation and gym rental fees. Each team will practice once a week (2 hours), and compete in 5-6 one day tournaments.

It is our commitment, that although each player is responsible for paying their full tuition cost, FVC will use its resources to help fund some programs that can relieve parents of cost challenges.

FVC believes in T.E.A.M., which means, “Together Everyone Achieves More.” We aim to combine our elite training with fundraising strategies that dominates the thrust to athletic and academic excellence. For more details regarding our funded programs, join us on November 1, 2017 from 7pm-9pm at Long Island Lutheran Middle & High School (LUHI) at 131 Brookville Road, Brookville NY 11545.
